Who we are

DerbyQuiz (derbyquiz.com) is a football quiz game. The data controller is the operator of DerbyQuiz, contact: admin@derbyquiz.com.

What data we process

• Account: email, display name, avatar, password (stored only as a secure hash), and your Google/Facebook account identifier if you sign in via OAuth.
• Game data: scores, XP, streaks, duel results, favourite club, in-game friendships.
• Push notifications: if you enable them, we store your browser's technical subscription. You can disable it any time in your profile or browser settings.
• Technical data: essential cookies for sign-in and security (login rate-limiting).

Why we use it

Solely to run the game: sign-in, saving progress, leaderboards, duels with friends and optional notifications. The legal basis is performance of a contract (providing the game) and our legitimate interest in securing the service. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their marketing.

Advertising and cookies

The game may show ads (Google AdSense). Advertising cookies load only if you consent in the cookie banner; without consent, only essential sign-in cookies are used. You can withdraw consent any time by clearing cookies in your browser.

Where and for how long

Data is stored on a server in the European Union. We keep your account and game data until you delete your account. To delete your account and all data, email admin@derbyquiz.com — we will process it without undue delay.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of and port your data. Just write to admin@derbyquiz.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children

The game is not intended for children under 15 without parental consent. If we learn that a younger child created an account without consent, we will delete it.
